Just wanted to let everyone know that we have added 2 new primers to our product line; TCP-007 is a dark gray primer while TCP-256 is a very light gray primer (intended for lighter colors like white, yellows, etc.). Both primers have superb adhesion properties to model plastic as well as extruded plastic sheets (like Evergreen styrene) that allows any color to be painted over them within 45-60 minutes after application.

Primers are available in 1 (30 ml) and 2 oz. (60 ml) bottles from your favorite retailer or from us directly.

Now metallic paints such as Titanium, Steel, Copper, Brass, Silver, Tin, etc. can be sprayed without going through time consuming (and hit and miss) preparations.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask on this forum, call or email us.

Anyone tried the Mission Model primer?

I have for the first time just recently. As far as an acrylic primer goes it is by far the best I have ever used. Still not as durable as a Lacquer based primer (except Alclad which I have never had great luck with). I will continue to use it from time to time but my favorite is AK Interactive Black Primer & Microfiller. The stuff stays down, is smooth, and comes in a large enough bottle to last me a good while.
