This is a photo preview of this new release from AFV Club. It should be available in stores soon (if not already).

Does this kit include indy tracks, or are thse tracks shown just included for extra armor? Its always off-putting with AFV Club kits that one has to buy tracks seperate, but my heart lifted for a second when I saw a sprue of indy tracks. Is there enough for the vehicle or just the extra armor?

I think the kit just hit shelves in Asia a few days ago. It may take a bit before it's in a hobby store near you (or online).

Frank - In regards to the track there is one large sprue of track and one smaller sprue. However they appear to only be enough to do the turret segments as shown in the pictures. We didn't get this set yet, but as Terry has reported there is a set of full indy-tracks available as well: http://www.perthmilitarymodelling.com/reviews/vehicles/afvclub/afv35156.html

These will simply be for the tracks which were welded to the vehicle as additional armor.

The Track-Packs available for the Churchill from AFV Club are really excellent and come in two distinct types. As they're styrene, the price is also VERY reasonable.

Thanks Jim and Jim. Just as I thought. I like AFV Clubs track sets ... have bought many of them over the years. Yes they are good value, but as I said previously, its annoying that one has to source these seperatly, as not all hobby shops carry them. Ive often left their kits on the shelf, basically because I knew Id have to go online and look for tracks as well .... hard to beat a kit that (theoretically) you could start right away!

I know, picky picky picky, but you have some photos of anti-reflective coatings for Stryker vehicles in amongst the Churchill stuff...

Yes I did find that a bit odd. Either someone slipped this into the box as a second item (something they don't usually do), or they included it as part of the 'special parts'. I didn't think that those would work for such a disparity of kit eras, but perhaps someone here can solve the mystery.

Thanks,
Jim

Hi Jim just looked at AFV Club's (Hobby Fan) site and the Stryker parts are a new release so I'd say that they are a second item slipped in the box.

Both Churchill and Stryker parts have spaces waiting for them on my shelf

well despite the later date of my post i opened the box of my churchill mk iv and thought i got ripped off. thinking the extra parts where going to be resin. as the box art shows the tracks on the turret as it would be assumed would be part of the kit regardless. in australia that is fulse advretising and could get them in trubble by the govenment. aslo my kit never came with the stryker stickers either.
not impressed at all might have to write to someone and say so!!!!!!
