I'm still ready to go and very excited to participate in my first campaign.

If everything goes well, I'll be doing a 1/48 Tamiya a6m5c Zero.

hello Newtothegame !
Well, we're not that many, so it might just be an unofficial group build. What does it change ? nothing !

What kind of "look" are you intending for your zero : rather worn out, with metal showing here and there ? or with it's paint more or less intact ?

My Ki61 should be from 1945, so rather worn out, with only blotches of green over natural metal ! It's going to be an adventure because i've never tried NMF !

I am still fighting with the decision. On one hand, I am still pretty new to making models that I am proud of, so I am a little afraid of trying anything too radical. But on the other hand, the zeros are relatively cheap and if I don't try I will never learn.

I will probably try pretty heavy weathering with either bare metal foil under and then over coat sanded off, or a coat of aluminum then future then overcoat color pulled off with masking tape.

Part of my problem is, as always, my internet searches for reference photos are only coming up with other people's models or photos that don't show heavy weathering (museum samples, etc.)

But anyway again I am very excited to do it, so keep me posted if we are doing a campaign or just a group build
