Mario Matijasic reviews another US Army weapon accessory set in 1/35 scale from Live Resin. This time it is a set of Insight Technology''s AN/PEQ Infrared Target Pointers/Illuminators/Aiming Lasers (LRE-35010).

Ok Mario
Great review
So now, the panorama is more or less complete.
I have a question regarding costing

Can you cost a M4 + Optic + pointer + handle?

Taking into account that the limiting kit is the M4 in term of cost. ??

Cheers

Hi Seb, thanks for the question. I was thinking of making a Live Resin weapon sets cost average... I will be quoting Lucky Models prices, as I think those are really good and with no extra shipping fee. So here goes.

Set of M4s $8
Set of optics $8
Set of ANPEQs $8
Set of grips $8
-------
$32

Here's my reasoning... If you need a single M4 built up, it is pricey. If, however, you need to equip more figures with modern weapons, you get far better cost average. For instance:

4 sets of M4: $32
Set of optics: $8
Set of ANPEQs $8
Set of grips $8
-------
$56

So, for $56 you can get 24 fully functional M4s. I think this is a great value for money in the long run (less than $3 for a single M4 in this calculation).... I have compared Live Resin weapon sets with Hornet heads; they both can be used to improve plastic and resin figures immensly. I have seen Live Resin stuff up close and personal and I can defiinitely say these sets are superior to any weapon sets produced so far.

For me, the reasoning is simple... I would definitely go with Live Resin on my figures as the weapons would bring them to a completely new level of realism.
