I've been looking at other manufacturers for bastion barriers and am glad to see ET release a set. I'll definitely be using these, as I am currently hooked on modern Afghanistan and the Middle East.

Hi Seb

I agree that the PE mesh looks nice...but the size is off for the Hesco one. According to the specs found on Hesco's website, the mesh size is 76.2mm x 76.2mm (3” x 3”)= 2,1 mm in 1/35th scale.... E.T. (and Voyager too - I've bought both sets) mesh size is 1 mm x 1 mm (between wires). So OK this mesh will certainly be useful but not for accurate Hesco bastions.

Edit : I guess a picture would be better. The mesh on the left is from E.T. Model's set. The mesh on the right (2 x 2 mm) is from Scale Link set SLF080 :

Am I nit-picking too much ?

Yes you are right regarding the size.
I was at Eurosatory to see the real one and yes you are right. But the level of printing/etching is pretty greart.
I was not aware on the Voyager set. Thanks for pointing these out.
Frenchy the pic you post is from you?? Scan??

Not at all Frenchy, that's quite a size difference. You would have to remove a "+" out of each block to correct it. Thanks for the info

Yes. I was too lazy to take a picture I've been searching high and low for some accurate Hesco mesh for quite a long time and I was happy to see E.T. Models and Voyager releasing these sets...This was before seeing them "in the flesh"

I wonder why these guys haven't done their homework (licensing issues ?)...
