I have a couple of kits (well more than a couple really) that would fit this group build (it will be my first one on this site) and as an ex recce troop scimitar commander I guess this will be a natural home for me.
Accurate Armour Ferret
Bronco Humber Mk IV A/C
Bronco Humber Scout Car
Tamiya M20
I'm leaning toward the Humber Mk IV at the moment but that could change......

Any one of those would fit the bill Steve.
Going through my own (Visible) Stash I have the following suitable vehicles:
Humber scout car
Dingo
Autoblinda 41 (AB 41)
M8 Greyhound
M20
SdKfz 234 (Puma)
Rolls-Royce Armoured Car
as well as some jeeps and the universal carriers and I'll be getting Mirror Model's Otter Light Reconnaissance Car as soon as Libor brings it out so I am spoilt for choice -still plenty of time to decide though.

Howdy Y'all
My Build List is expanding fast but I would love to build an M-8 Grayhound in braille scale or 1/48. I'm in!
Y'all take care,

I'm also thinking of a Bren Universal Carrier in 1/48 by Tamiya. I'm not sure which markings are for a recon unit. I would think any of the kit markings should work as the Universal Carrier could be put into recon duty at any time. Just a thought.
Take care,

I quite fancy this campaign as I've just started work on a dio I've been thinking about of a link up between LRDG and SAS in Libya at a resupply point. There'll probably be about 6 vehicles (Jeeps and Chevrolets). Am I okay to carry on building them so long as I save one for the start of the campaign?

Hi Karl Yes as long as one of the vehicles is entirely built from start to finish during the campaign then that vehicle can be your campaign entry.

Bear in mind that the campaign doesn't start til may 2013

Excellent! I'm in then. I'll do a Chevrolet for the campaign as I'm probably going to build 2 or 3 so I'll save one till May. I'll do the jeeps and figures for the time being as I'm not the fastest builder

I haven't built it nor seen any reviews but it looks like a fun build. I have a soft spot for anything built on the 38T chassis

Hi Sal,
does it have single tracks links, and single slab armor
for the upper hull and some sort of interior?
If so it could be the old Alan kit. I built it many moons
ago, and had some fit problems with the single slabs of the upper hull armor. But with some patients you can make a cute kit from it:

Is this kit acceptable to the campaign?

Thanks,
Tom

It was designed to replace the M3 and M5 and it comes with markings for the 81st recon squad in Italy which i will be marking it as. I should think that it qualifies

Alex, i love that pic man! Bronco has really stepped it up and im lookin' forward to my Humber too. I built the old Testors/Italeri boxed Chaffee kit several years ago.....YIKES!!! I was luck my nephew had a small PE fret for it to help it out some. The Bronco kit looks SWEET!!!
