Nearly finished with the KV-2. Technically it's done but I was forced to use the vinyl tracks to finish in time for a contest. I plan to remove those tracks and replace them with the plastic link and length tracks that look much better. I painted the kit with MM Russian Armor Green and gave it a mixed wash of blue, green, and yellow oil paints and a final weathering of ground chalk pastels. The message on the side of the barrel doesn't exactly match the one on the skin I created in terms of size. I tried laying it out by hand in the correct size and after 3 tries gave up and decided to do it the length of the barrel.

Where did you get these from? I've been interested lately in 1/72 scale

Cromwell is notoriously slow getting stuff to them (well everyone else too!), so be prepared to wait. I ordered my stuff back in December!

@Cameron: That derpie is looking very good! It's a fun tank to drive in-game.

My progress on the Super Pershing engine bay:

Thank you. Yes, it's a very fun tank to drive in game, especially when teamed up with someone that knows what they're doing. The kill marks on the side will attest to that, 8 kills in one battle, 10 among my platoon alone.

Your Super is looking good too. Thought about buying one today with Squadron's sale but I have too many to finish as it is.

I've set my goal to get my first Tier IX in the form of the M48 Patton. Bought the T20 yesterday and I'm having lots of fun with it. Managed to get some work done on the engine in between the rounds and this is the status as of today:

Very nice work! I just received my Super Pershing in the mail yesterday. Mine wont be the same level of work as yours, as I am new to modeling, and have to hand paint everything

Current progress on the Super Pershing:

Had to do some modification to the engine as dry fitting the upper hull revealed that things did not fit as planned. The exhaust pipes were too long and had to be cut 1cm to fit behind the rear plate. I also had to make two notches in the air intake so that the upper hull wouldn't bend over it. Not sure if I build the engine wrong or just bad fittings.

@Kurt: Thanks. This will be the fourth model that I've used an airbrush and done weathering on. The previous ones were either unpainted or smeared with paint without primer. The Super Pershing is exciting since I've neither done Allied models or other than old Tamiya/Academy/Italieri kits.

@Andy: The Mathilda is looking nice! What camo are you planning on?

My favourite tanks from WoT are the Loltraktor and Vk3601(H) but I can't find a scale kit of ether of those. So I reckon I will go for the Stug 3. Will sniff out a kit in the next week or so. Keep the photos coming, very inspiring stuff.

Just noticed this and decided to register here (have been on msc for a while now).
I've been playing wot since 10 days after it came out of beta - mind if I join in?

If so, I'll pick up a cheap kit at the lhs later this week.

Looks awesome so far guys!

Finally got my Cromwell Models 1/72 T-30 and T-29E3

HA!

So we'll compare it with my SuperPershing conversion kit by modeltrans

Oliver: welcome

I'd love to have a Loltractor -according to WoT statistics I have an unicorn status with that... (The T1 and T2 light are at least available, although freakishly expensive), and a TOG would really be awesome.

Here are two of mine at various stages of painting (one extra; the S35 goes to a different campaign as I do not have it in the game. Yet.)

T-28 and Luchs in 1/72.

The T-28 has appalling casting; the Luchs is pretty cool little tank.

I have the 10,5 cm ls.F.H auf Geschützwagen Char B-1(f), B1 bis and a Super Pershing lined up as well.

Good news for English TD fans:

@Andy: That's one good looking Matilda! The weathering is spot on. How much time did you spend on it?

@Oliver: Good luck with your T-34.

Progress update on my Super Pershing:

Had to use 3 clamps to force the lower and upper hull together, even after sanding some more on the air intake on the engine. There's a tight fight in the engine compartment. The clamps were on for about 48 hrs to make sure the upper glacis is properly glued to the lower glacis. IT warped a bit during test fitting.

The hull after glueing the lower and upper hull parts together. Looking good so far. Minor details and pieces added to the upper hull during this phase.

Eight hatches to the engine bay and two crew hatches with viewports added to the upper hull. Next up is the assembly of the stowage bins that are going on top of the fenders.

Looks awesome guys!

About the t34/ 85 - it turns out it was missing a sprue and there was not another one at the has that that could take one from, so I now have a m10 to build. They were awesome about it at the lhs though - although I had started the turet, they still gave me a refund .

Anyway, as I said, i got an academy m10. It has a full interior and engine, so I may try ro imitate what a knocked out one looks like in wot. All I need to do before starting is buy mine back . I also found a cool grassmat that I will get for the base:
http://www.model-scene.com/xx_f723.html

Anyway, I should have the creds for it in wot by next week, so ill start soon.

Been a while since last update, and there's been some progress on my build.

Started on the turret and gun assembly, and I've done most of the little bits and piece on the turret surface. I've left some pieces off to mimic the WoT-version and I'll be adding some details too.

The build is going surprisingly well and I've only made a few modifications to the kit so far.

The bad thing is both of them are pretty rough...the lower hulls are pretty horrible in the suspension area..seems like the molds were on their last legs.

I look at them when I'm down in my work area, but I haven't started them yet...

Progress update on the Super Pershing. I was surprised to see how long this model is going to be. The metal tracks will make it pretty heavy too.
