Getting very close to finishing the assembly! Added PE, minor details, hydraulics for the gun, plugging some holes with putty and dry fitting the frontal armor plates:

Thanks, Andy!

Taking advantage of having a day off since it is the Constitution Day here in Norway. I did a test run on base coat and the combination of masking and getting the right color for the camo:

I've added some itty bitty parts, like the AM antenna and sanded down a few mold lines. Hoping to get a base coat on most of the build by the end of the day.

Well, since the Pz.I is in the game from recently I may actually join. Does it have to be the same version as in the game? ( I planned mine as a DAK vehicle).

Kind regards,Sven.

The rules are pretty liberal for this campaign:

Quoted Text

Out-of-the box is OK, but if you can, try to build the vehicle with modifications; a simple stock Tiger, while admissible, is not exactly in the spirit of the campaign... (In fact, try to avoid the "usual suspects".)

Would be cool if you could replicate a camo from the game.

Starting to look really good with its first coat:

Painted the spare track links and the tow rope in dark grey, to mimic their appearance in-game.

Just started playing WoT about a month ago, so still getting the hang of things (read I kinda suck at it). Maybe the next time this campaign shows up, I'll join.

You're more than welcome, Simon. I actually have that kit in my stash as well (but not planned for this campaign).

I don't think you NEED to provide a screenshot, as it is not in the rules.

I chose the Stug ||| for the campaign. I have had this kit for a few months and it doesn't have the L70 gun but the derp, but that's OK. Got most of the wheels cleaned up, now to start on the hull.

By the way, I always struggle to paint the black rims on the road wheels. What is a good method to get the clean line between the rubber and wheel?

oh nice. Why haven't I seen this thread before? So can I get in on this? There's a couple of WoT related tanks I've been wanting to build. Already have a T-28/85 in the works, could maybe do something in the KV series.

@Simon: Looking forward to you joining us! Are you going to modify the kit in any way?

@Luke: I love playing with the Stug. The L/70 is superb for its tier. Regarding painting the Wheels: I use a circle mask when painting the roadwheels. After primer, I paint the rubber color using an airbrush, then I place the circle mask over the hub and apply the desired color by airbrush. Not quite sure of the proper naming of the circle mask, but I can provide a photo of mine when later today.

@ComradeMP: Someone already made a KV-2 with the derp gun, if you were considering that kit. You're more than welcome to join us, though.

Oh, great! I was thinking along the lines of the KV-2 with the 107 (seen it done in 1/72), or a T-150 (i know I had a line drawing around somewhere). Have both the Trumpy KV-85/122 for an ingame upgraded KV-1S. I've somewhat started my SU-122-44 build, but it's going slow.

Still haven't bought a kit yet so it's still up in the air. Perhaps a ISU-152 with the BL-10?

Man I love my ISU......

@Luke: Here is the photo as promised:

@ComradeMP: The ISU-152 with the BL-10 is a nightmare to encounter. Takes half of my HP even a tier or two above it.

Word.

I can hold my own in tier 10 battles, I've slain many a E-100/Maus. And as for the BL-10's accuracy, I make due. I can easily pull off long range shots, though you'll have a few rounds deviate here and there.

Great shot at an enemy that was minimally exposed and still did 908 damage.

Guess it's the Tamiya ISU-152 kit, some evergreen tube and maybe a PE update set.
