Well, glad to have you along Mark!

Yes, this is where we will show ALL our starting and progress pictures of the kit and everything involved with it too.

Before time runs out a completed image of your work will then need to be uploaded into the Campaign Gallery so remembering what page the link is on OR, saving the link so that can be done to get that ribbon.

Great choice. Does it include the tow behind too?

Looking forward to your build as I may change mine, just to do something different.

Jeff, it's just the truck only. It looks like a great kit, I am waiting on the Voyager upgrade set to go with it. I've also ordered the DEF wheel set fore it.

Wow... going all out, huh? Nice.

I agree with you, those vinyl tires (and the styrene ones too) just don't do it for me either.

So, see everyone Tuesday... bright and early! (this means you too John)

It's getting close to kick off date. I have uploaded a couple of links that show some 7 tons that I am going to try and copy. They are both long wheelbase, but I am not going to change mine.

Good videos.

I was going to get a truck but think I'll stick with the KV-122.

I have just recently purchased enough "other kits" to drain the funds down but still should be a fun build.

UNLESS... that IS-4 becomes available soon!

Hi all, I have been waiting for this campaign to get started for a while now. I was given the M1131 FSV for my birthday earlier in the year and have been dying to get started on it. As I have been waiting I have picked up a number of aftermarket accessories to add to the kit, although I may have gotten a little carried away. For instance, in a fit of inspiration I picked up a DUKE IED Jammer AND an ECM antenna to attach to the Stryker. I know that the ECM is typically found on the LAV-25; not the Stryker, and that attaching one to my build is not 100% accurate, but it looked too cool to pass up. I still haven't decided if I will included the ECM or not, but if I do it will be through the use of a little artistic license.

Parts list:
Trumpeter M1131 Stryker Fire Support Vehicle (FSV)
Eduard M1131 FSV PE kit
Voyager DUKE IED Jammer
Voyager ECM Antenna set
Voyager fastening bolts for Stryker vehicles
Legend Stryker Stowage kit
Live Resin M240 on articulating arm

I also picked up a few new decal sets to dress it up once I have assembled it all:
Echelon .30 cal ammo box decals [D356014]
Echelon .50 cal ammo box decals [D356135]
Echelon US Army and USMC insignia decals [P353001]
Alliance Modelworks US Army ACU insignia decals [LW35068]

Hi all,

Here is my Type 73 JGSDF Military Police 1/2 ton truck.. try saying that fast 3 times.

The box says Mono Chrome and that it is a Cooperative Project with Trumpeter. As it is also listed in the Trumpeter catalog I think it is Trumpeter in a different box. Either way it looks to be a very nice kit.

Well, here's my entry:

I'm even gonna try the kits tracks too although they seem to separate from the srue very well there is some clean-up to do. My new cutter does a much better job now that I bought a new one but I think a scalpel or razor will work better.

The plastic is soft but I think thin cement will work? Who knows as these will be my FIRST ATTEMPT at 'indy links'!

So first, get the tracks out of the way!

Okay Bob, John and I have discussed this and if you can provide 1 photo of the reboxed text/image either on the instructions sheet or box (some Tamyia kits are reboxed of Italeri's or CMK, and they have that stated on the box and instructions sheet) AND... a photo of the original Trumpeter kit and we will allow it.

Starter pictures for my 1/35 Trumpy KV-1 '42 (light cast turret).

This is the first time I've had it open and I noticed Trumpy has a single piece lower hull for this one...and they sent the old multi-piece hull as well. Thanks Trumpy, I was needing an extra KV hull for a what-if project.

Wow! I love THOSE tracks! Pre-Sagged and all in one run. Gee... I want those for my KV-122.

Funny how Trumpeter is, vinyl, indies and then now these. They have a variety to say the least!

Jeff,

Here is the link to the kit listing on the Trumpeter site.

http://www.trumpeter-china.com/a/en/product/armor/1_35_Series/2012/0706/2170.html

You will notice that the box art is identical as are all the sprues, PE and decals as well as the instructions. This is the only written connection to Trumpeter on the kit box... Although Mono Chrome is listed as a Japanese company and the kit is listed as being produced in China...

If that isn't good enough let me know soon as I won't post any progress photos until it is approved.

Jeff,
They also send a set of vinyl tracks as well. The length & link sets really do build up nicely.

I spoke too soon about the hull. It's the same as the earlier. I looked at it wrong and thought they had fixed that.
