I am working on a Tet 68' dio for campaign with multiple BRAVO-6 figures and Academy Ford Mutt+Legend update set. Figures are painted and need some weathering. M151 needs some more work. A few in progress photos.
best regards

My little M-35 went to queue for painting. I have left a few pieces unglued. Possibly, I use it in a different way.

In fact I wanted to make a 5t-truck (M54, I think) carring M-113 ACAV, but there is not in braille.

Loc: Have fun painting and weathering your LVTP5A1

Peter: Wow, that is a dizzying array!

Burak: You can probably scratchbuild the truck for the M113 ACAV. Or you can build an ACAV to place next to your current build.

Jose: It's ok, and it would be great to see you work on some larger-scale kits. I understand that space is an issues though, so I understand if you choose to stay with the smaller scales.

Hi all, I know I am late to the party, but wondering if I can join in. Just returned from overseas, unforeseen "short" trip, and need something to get me into the swing of things before I attempt a return to my Maus.

I have an M151A2 w/TOW MISSLIE LAUNCHER (M220 TRACKING SYSTEM)

I know the M151A2 was used during the Vietnam War, but wondering about the TOW MISSILE LAUNCHER. If not, I can leave that out and put into the parts box.

I found the following but still vague

Quoted Text

The M151 and M220 launchers are used by infantry, but can also be mounted on a number of vehicles, including the M151 jeep, the M113 APC, the M966 HMMWV and the M1045 HMMWV (which replaced the M966). These launchers are theoretically man-portable, but are quite bulky. The updated M151 launcher was upgraded to include thermal optics to allow night time usage, and had been simplified to reduce weight. The M220 was specifically developed to handle the TOW-2 series.

And then the following specifically about Vietnam War in the same article

Quoted Text

On 24 April 1972, the U.S. 1st Combat Aerial TOW Team arrived in South Vietnam; the team's mission was to test the new anti-armor missile under combat conditions.[9] The team consisted of three crews, technical representatives from Bell Helicopter and Hughes Aircraft, members of the United States Army Aviation and Missile Command, and two UH-1B helicopters; each mounting the XM26 TOW weapons system, which had been taken from storage. After displacing to the Central Highlands for aerial gunnery, the unit commenced daily searches for enemy armor.[9] On 2 May 1972, U.S. Army UH-1 Huey helicopters firing TOWs destroyed North Vietnamese tanks near An Loc. This was heralded as the first time a U.S. unit neutralized enemy armor using American-designed and built guided missiles(in this case against an American-made M-41[10]). On 9 May, elements of the North Vietnamese Army's 203rd Armored Regiment assaulted a camp at Ben Het held by Army of the Republic of Vietnam Rangers . The Rangers destroyed the first three PT-76 amphibious light tanks of the 203rd, thereby breaking up the attack.[11][12] During the battle for the city of Kontum, the TOW missile had proven to be a significant weapon in disrupting enemy tank attacks within the region. By the end of May, BGM-71 TOW missiles had accumulated 24 confirmed kills of both PT-76 light and T-54 main battle tanks.[11][12] 1976 saw the introduction of AH-1 Attack Helicopters equipped with TOW guided missiles.

My take on that is the only TOW used were aerial based, and not ground vehicle based.

Which is fine, as that gives me a TOW to use on the next What if Campaign ;-)
