Great Damon! Is the final color a VA Primer or the mix called in instructions?

Final colour is the Tamiya XF 49 + XF 66, as I wanted to stay as true to an Out of box build as possible. I find the colour to be pretty close to what I have seen in other pictures, but then the pictures are not always a good representation and I am sure that someone with real practical knowledge of the IDF and its colours schemes would be a better guide than I. Cheers.

Thanks man!

I don't know if you saw my reply in the topic about VA primer. There you can see a pic of my Merk IV and how I mixed the paint to get the color.

Cheers!

Hello,

Thanks for the review.

No clear parts for the vision blocks huh? Tamiya seems to have done this with several of their older releases, and since some of the sprues does originate from the T-55 release, this may be the reason why? (Tamiya's IS-3 apparently does not come with clear parts either). That's a shame, but it shouldn't detract from the overall product though

Agreed, it is not a game changer but it did affect my overall decision, as we (I) have come to expect these things as standard from the big T. I would love to see them tackle an IDF accessories set much like their modern US accessories set and include the clear vision blocks in that. We can always hope. Cheers.
