@Dmitry,

Well worth the wait! I don’t come here as often as I use to been very busy with other life things but was sure happy to see more progress on your build. Truly inspiring! You’re creative talent is leaving us with a great piece of history, on the technical working detail side of a Kingtiger that we would otherwise not be aware of. Keep up the excellent work!

I do not know myself, but already in the course of 8 years every day I do this model. I do not do it, only on those days when I was on vacation.
Perhaps this is my mission in this world

P.S.
btw, new video - "Rear turret hatch"

I really like this dunkelgelb color.

The insanity is real!

No, seriously Dmitry; there is no need any more for reference books, pictures or other stuff once this build is complete. Your detailing is just mind blowing big time.

Keep up the excellent work Dmitry!

Hello guys!
I apologize for the long break, but this work, as always, took much longer than planned. But I did it!

That hatch is just the hatch of all the hatches ever done by any modeller, ever - period!

Know i repeat myself but the work, detail and effort you put in Dmitry is breathtaking.

And no excuses, Christmas, new years eve and all that takes is time as well as scratch building parts with top of the line details

Dmitry, absolutely stunning work. I myself am busy with this model since it was released. First built one out of the box, and for about 7 years now I am building a second one, but with detail as far as my abilities stretch. I have always used the Network54 forum as a reference guide and have David Parkers' book. Also Liejon Schoot has done a phantastic job on this one. But all parts you created so far are just so extremely well crafted, without exceptions. Next to this, you have the discipline to keep on going. Where did you find all the time needed? I spend less time on it and don't have the precision as you show here. With my pace I will need another 10 years perhaps!
You have put so many effort in this project, it will be invaluable in price when finished. I wonder, are you never afraid of some disaster striking destroying all your work? A fire? Burglary? A little too enthusiastic child? ;-)
I notice myself, it worries me sometimes as years of work could be vanished in an instant and you can't just lock it in a safe every day. Just some thoughts.
Anyway, you are the master of modellers. Pictures usually show an enlarged image, the actual parts are often much smaller in real. To recreate all details in a realistic way is one thing, to make them work like real as you often did, is a BIG step further.
Yes, I just signed up here to comment, I just needed to express my admiration finally!

Thank you very much for your kind words!
But I do not think that I am a master. I am sure that there are many modellers who can do the same and even better.
I make this model every day (with rare exceptions) from 2 to 6-7 hours a day, depending on my mood. At times it is very difficult psychologically, especially when there is no mood), but it seems to me that if I do not do anything (at least 1 detail), then this day seems to me to have been wasted. Although now I'm already so tired that for the first time in 8 years I took a break for almost a month! But I allowed myself to take this pause (I planned it) because the interior is 90% ready and I'm already quite tired of it. After the break, I will continue to do the exterior. I hope you forgive me this break.
Yes, such work will be difficult to evaluate, because there are very few people who could appreciate it. But this does not upset me, and I will be happy to give this model to some museum (Not to the Russian Museum! This country is not worthy of such an exhibit. Although I myself am Russian, but I value my work too much. If there is an opportunity, to Switzerland, Germany or the UK - it will suit me perfectly).

I’m not afraid of accidental loss, because the main thing is not the model itself, but the skills that I have. And in the end, the photos will remain anyway.
Liejon's work was a very big incentive for me, he is an excellent modeller. I hope my work helps someone too. Thank you again!

Interesting reflections Dmitry - hopefully in a few years we will all be able to put on our Virtual Reality headsets and examine superb models like yours in 3 dimensions…even open up hatches without breaking them and look inside…from the comfort of our own homes. But first you have to finish it, and please before any of us followers get too old to see it!

Been reading through this build this evening and after 2 pages I recognized it. Then I got curious if it ever was completed. thank the Gods of Thailand you're still at it.. Most impressive and you are an absolute Master.
I have a theory on the absolute talented and extremely skill full modelers from eastern Europe, maybe I will share that. I am in admiration of your display, the way you present a little step in detail, just unbelievable.
Glad to see you're still building and (for sure)will finish it after all these years.
My Hats off for you Sir.
