I'm looking for two sets of US Army Infantry, one modern, i.e. Iraq/Afghanistan; the other should be suitable for late 1970s Germany. I'm looking for 1/35th scale sets. Thanks as always.

I dunno if they are quite what your looking for as I know next to nothing about the correct uniforms but have you looked at the tamiya modern US figures and the masterbox? ones. granted they are supposed to be Iraq ones so maybe to old for the modern and to new for the others?

Thanks, I'm far from an expert myself which is why I asked for help. I do know that the current uni/equipment won't do for late 70s Europe.

I would imagine it would be no good for late 70's but maybe the tamiya sets might be ok.

Many companies have Iraq or Afghanistan US Infantry figures. If you are looking for plastic figs, you may check Masterbox, Tamiya,ICM websites. For high quality resin ones; Evolution Miniatures, Blackdog, Verlinden,Airborne Miniatures..but these figures will not suitable for Fulda Gap because of body armor and equipment types. For 70s, you may check Tamiya or Dragon figures.
If you give more info about where you will use them I will try to narrow your search.
best regards

Thanks. Back in the mid to late seventies we were always taught that Fulda Gap would be the first battle of the next war as the Soviet hordes rolled west trying to make it to the Rhine. That's what I am trying to reproduce. I could be wrong but I don't think that the jungle uniform from Vietnam was the same as was worn in Europe.
