I'm ready to drop Friuls in favor of these. They look much better in quality. Thanks, Roman, for the review!

Hey

I have a few Masterclub metal tracks which of course are exquisitely detailed. The nice thing about metal tracks is that they can be chemically weathered with agents such as blacken-it. The only issue with Masterclub metal tracks that I can find are the resin track pins, which are nicely detailed, but will be required to be painted separately if you choose to chemically weather the tracks

Of course you can still use brass wire to assemble the tracks, but this approach kind of defeats the whole purpose of being supplied with nicely detailed track pins?

I guess if you so wanted, assuming you were going the chemical weathering approach, you could use the resin pins on the tracks facing outside for the detail (for left- and right-handed tracks) and use brass wire on the other so as to only have to paint half the amount of resin pins.

Hmm... what do you guys think?

I painted and weathered several sets so far - T-34, T-72, KV-1 and IS-2. No problem with painting track pin heads with black acrylic primer after the tracks are burnished. Then the whole thing is treated with pigments, washes, etc. So far I broke 2 or 3 pins when installing weathered tracks on the model, but this is really easy fix.
