This set is perhaps Dragon's finest IMO. And you've done a fabulous job with them.

Here they are used in a diorama.

The skill in painting these figures is remarkable, but I am wondering why the uniforms beneath the camouflage smocks appear to be powder blue instead of Feldgrau (which in real life is a gray-green wool with a hint of yellow-brown)? Is it an artifact of the computer monitor? Luftwaffe uniforms were blue gray, but not those of the Waffen SS or Army. Officers' uniforms were privately tailored, and blue-tinted examples do exist, but the common soldiers got gray-green wool. Towards the end of the war, rayon-wool blends were used, which were less green, sometimes a dark stone gray, but I've never seen a blue one.

Hello Gerald I have not seen you post in a while. The result could be due to a wash in Photo Shop CS prior to uploading, the pictures were a little dark.

That does it, the set I have been working on will go into the spares box. Superb work Venelin, outstanding paint and detail work.

Hi,
Gerald, in reality the uniforms are grey, some of them I've painted with slightly different tone, for variation. Maybe it's my fault during photography or,as Darren said, during processing the pictures, sorry for that
Your support and constructive comments only motivates me to improve, thanks!

Cheers!

Awesome array of Waffen SS camo clothes 'Wicked' Love the detail on them , I just think the eyes are a little to big, almost to detailed. All have that 1000 yard Stare look! I would have given you the 1st place in the figure comp, but the eyes just let them down a bit Sorry Bro Still love them though. GREAT PAINTING!

This is and "Kampfgruppe Von Luck" are my favorite figure kits from Dragon. We desperately need more figures like this! Why they discontinued this I will never know. Very nice job! Currently working on mine, however, I'm going with Bluured edge and Mint Blurred Edge for most of my smocks which were very common in 1944. Very difficult SS camo to get right!!
