Thanks Mark. These are 1/35th scale Tamiya SAS Jeeps to which I added Eduard photoetch and Legends resin sets. Here's one of my WIP entries for this campaign.

I took some new photos after work yesterday outside in natural light and they show my weathering a little better, but also show the decal problem better too.. anyways here are some new natural light photos..

It was a great experience to be in this campaign. I didn't get all of the "firsts" I wanted to squeeze in but it pushed me to try some of them. So, thanks Michael for organizing this. And congrats to everyone on their builds. Tons of awesome in this thread.

Nice work Andrew, the weathering came up very well. I like the contrast between the tyres on the ground and the nice new spare, great touch.

Didn't honestly think this would be done by the end of the campaign, but I just managed to finish the second 1/72 Jeep from the Italeri kit.





Not my best paint job ever, but for my first outing in braille scale I'm not totally disappointed.

I took some pics last night, but was not able to get to the computer. Mostly done, but I'm waiting on the weathering until I can put it into a small dio. That will have to wait (along with all other models) as I'm moving in 2 weeks.



Delbert, the Decals worked out pretty well for me. But, the first star I tried to put on (from the Italeri LVT4 Buffalo set) completely disintegrated when it hit the water. Luckily I had another laying around.

Looks like Mark C and Steve-O win the last minute award!

Hi Folks,

I have missed the closing of the campaign but I was still wanting to post a couple of photos of my jeep. I attempted to better replicate the canvas tilt but I am afraid that there is too many wrinkles compared to what I have seen in photos. I will probably remove the tissue and try again at a later date or just remove it all together and show the canvas support bars folded down. As you can see there is still white showing around the windshield but as it dries it will hopefully disappear completely.

Everyone has done some really nice work on these builds. Hopefully there will be another Jeep campaign in the future.

Upon looking through the thread it seems to me that you've finished but not posted in the gallery which is needed to get a ribbon. If you can upload some pics there, we'll get you taken care of. Of course, if anyone else does so as well (Eric ) I might get out of control and just give 'em out willy-nilly.

You're too kind for giving me a ribbon, Michael. My unplanned what if backyard banger isn't worthy! From now on I plan to have a battleplan for builds.. Right after this pak 40... "Pak'ed with detail" by JLModels is pretty serious so a lot of the reference comes from there. I'm happy to have the inspiration and knowledge from builders here. It's opened up a whole new world of modeling for me. And being complimented on my first attempt at weathering since globs of paint were drybrushed on a Color Me Gone Dodge hood about 15 years ago was pretty cool too. So thank you guys. Critiques are welcome too!
