Bit of a big jump from the last update. The gun has been assembled, primed in UMP Black, painted in VMA Dark Yellow, and I have begun weathering with chipping and rust streaks.

Yes Quentin, looks very good. Question-what is UMP black and VMA Dark Yellow?
Take care,

UMP stands for Ultimate Modeling Products. It's a UK-based company run by the guys who run the International Scale Modeller forum. They have a line of primers and a line of clay-based washes made in-house, as well as some tools. Mostly they sell non-mainstream tools and kits. The in-house items are very nice. I used their black primer for this kit.

VMA stands for Vallejo Model Air.

Well done, Martin! Congrats on the finished build.

Colin, we still have one month to go so there is plenty of time if you'd like to join.

Since we are within a month of finishing this campaign I thought about asking you all... Fancy a 150- Mk. II? If so, should anything be changed compared to the current version's rules?

I think it would be a good idea to keep a "small" campaign running all the time,as theoretically you can always knock one out in a weekend

Sounds great, guys! Here's the proposal thread for the follow-up: http://armorama.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=SquawkBox&file=index&req=viewtopic&topic_id=259371&page=1#2199701

If we can get 10 interested builders, I'll send it in for approval.

Howdy Y'all
@Martin-Great looking model, congratulations.
I finished my BA-64B and entered into ChileCon IV, an IPMS regional in Albuquerque this past weekend.

I didn't win anything but it was fun. Now to find that gallery page...
Take care,

Jeez, I was racking my brain trying to find something I would want to do and kept counting my Tamiya Jagdpather again and again to try and get below 150 with the parts used. i think I could, but then eurika, my meng Tiger.

Starting tonight.

Well here is a few pics. It is really an easy build. I had originally bought it to just have something to practicing painting on.

Andy for Andy's hobby headquaters did a review on this and it is so well done that I couldnt possible add more to it.

I am still trying to figure out the final color. I am leaning toward the gray, but might go for the desert look.

Clayton,
Thank you for the kind words. Yes, the contest had lots of great models. My daughter was able to get a third with her Millenium Falcon in the Juniors Sci-Fi category. I didn't place in any category. Thanks to Armorama I was able to go to the contest without embarrassing myself.
Take care,

A little progress on the Tamiya M-41 to show. I added some windows made of clear plastic sheet to the driver's position. The kit just had holes! Also, two brass antennas made the turret look better. The kit machine gun just had a block for the handles so the Dremel sculpted something closer to the real deal. Unfortunately, the results were too weak and broke into bits while painting & assembling. I glued the parts back together that I could find . . .
