I haven't touched the bench in over a month. I've been gone away for work and I brought some kits with me and I just now finally got a chance to work on one.

I lack probably 3-4 pieces and this will ready for paint.

@Don: It turned out really great! I agree, the competition must have been hard if you haven't got any medal. Congrats to your daughters win, though!

@Kelly: Cute little kit and great progress so far!

@Paul: The Bulldog looks great! I like the smooth paint job a lot.

@Dustin: Great progress! I don't think I would be able to work out of my usual environment.

Thank you fellas. I hate not being at my bench. But if I didn't bring st kit with me to work, I'd never get anything built.

Hey guys. Assembly 100% complete now. When I finally make it home, I'll slap some paint on this thing.

Bit of a big jump from the last update. The gun has been assembled, primed in UMP Black, painted in VMA Dark Yellow, and I have begun weathering with chipping and rust streaks.

dig the color,and decided to try that on mine.

Funny you mentioned Andy. I bought two of these after seeing his review. Cant wait to see you do your magic on this one [/quote]

Did you get the King tiger?

So I have been real busy with a pets health. Tried a little bit tonight.

Having only the vallejo flat yellow, figured I would give it a shot. So far it is good for me.

Well here she is for now.

I have a Wittman Tiger by Dragon that I plan on doing with a strip pattern and then a white snow camo. So this was to test on something before I ruin a nicer build.

Not sure if I would be able to get to it before the ending date. So I present it as is.

Yellow might have looked a little crazy at first, but there was a method to the madness. I provided the inspiration below.

Then the follow up pics if found on duty protecting the backyard.

Nope, the yellow looks great, Kelly, very good colour choices, as a matter of fact! Kudos!

Finally got to work on my Artillery Observation Vehicle! In fact, it's going so fast I forgot to take too many early pictures, but rest assured, you didn't miss much

And a Trumpeter-sized gap...

But the clincher to building this diminutive kit will be that I will be using an airbrush for the first time..
Drip by drip details to come!!

That's one safe backyard, Kelly! It turns really-really nice! I like it a lot!

Nice progress, Clayton! That gap is indeed annoying but are those parts from different kits or just un-primed parts that show the color difference?

No, I kind of primed sub-assemblies, and not others, so now some is double-primed...

Nice clean paintjob on the little kitty, though I'll dare to nitpick and suggest a rubber shade on the outer set of wheel rims.

And so to my entry

which has been languishing for some time as the start date demonstrates.
It's a Tamiya and basically 3 sub-assemblies plus wheels

I got the bulding done by the original date, and now it's off to the paint booth.

@Ken
Thanks. I forgot about the extension and though 30th was the last date. Hence the rush

@Clayton
Thanks. As I have no space for for a 1/16 kitty, might make a 1/144 (if someone makes them) to complete the family

@Richard
Doh I knew I had messed up something in my rush to finish. Didn't realise it was something so obvious. Thanks for pointing it out, I'll change it asap

Looking good Clayton. That's a nice little kit, I built that for the Trumpeter II campaign. You remind me of the gaps -- though not much on the sides for me, as it was more on the rear that I needed to insert a thin styrene sheet. Are you using the kit-supplied rubber bands? You may need to shorten it a bit.

Anyways, here's what I intend to finish in the next few days:

The build's practically done -- in sub-assemblies. I've started painting the running gear before putting it all together and hopefully finish on time.

Cheers,

Tat
