If it's 150 or less I've got a few Zvezda and Masterbox motorbikes to build that would fit. I built a Zvezda BMW R12 last week and it's a lovely little kit. Spot on accuracywise as I worked from photos of real ones on the PC while I was building it. Fiddly but top notch little kit. Shows how bad the early Tamiya ones are now. I've got a couple of those that can go on ebay now as I cant't bring myself to build them lol. What sort of start date were you thinking of?

I got out that Tamiya M41 Bulldog over the weekend and counted the parts. NOT INCLUDING the soldier figures, I counted 125 parts give or take a few as I sometime forgot which toe or finger I was using as a place holder. Even adding the figures (which I will not build) the count is still going to be under 150. The big help here is the tracks which count only as only two, one for each side. No Fruils for this campaign!

So, a Walker Bulldog M41 for me, something I have been itching to build for a while. As I recall, these were painted a semi gloss OD rather than the dead flat stuff I'm used to using. Can anyone recommend a proper paint to use, preferably something in a rattlecan? My airbrush is still mad at me . . .

That's an enjoyable build. But I ran with flat ODG....

I'm sure even such a simple kit will turn into a beauty under your hands, Paul!

I had a short look at that kit and man did we came a long way since the 70s model-quality wise. The flat inner side of the rubber tracks is... well... you get the point

Clayton - Clayton - I remember seeing one recently on one of these campaigns and it looked pretty good. Was it yours?

Cristian - Yes, the kit is basic and I understand there are errors & omissions with it. It passes muster under the "blind man riding by on a horse wouldn't notice" standard. We'll just have to see what we can do with those flat tracks. A spot of paint, a wash or two . . .

Would AM tracks count against the kit part count?

Yes, Marc! Every part that is assembled on the model is also counted.

Here is what I'll be building. Unfortunately I can't use the trailer because it's over the limit by just a couple of parts.

I'll post a start picture when the time comes.

Cheers,
Dustin

Interesting idea. I do have a couple of car kits in the stash, which should be under the 150 limit.

Great choices everyone!

Excuse my ignorance, Mike but what plane is this? Also which kit are you going to use? Looks really nice, by the way!

It is the DFW T.28 Floh, a small WWI German biplane fighter prototype designed by Hermann Dorner.

The kit I'll use is Eduard's Floh kit....which doesn't show up on their site anymore [ ].

Feel free if any of you have something to show.

My (first of several?) build for this campaign will be something a bit off the wall...

Nice pick Clayton, simple, ok fit, thus builds quick. I just did one for the Trumpeter II Campaign. You may need to adjust the rubber-band tracks as I found it way too long:

In my case however I decided to use Hobby Boss links instead.

I like your idea for the ribbon -- a simple building block that may as well define the campaign, that of basic, low-count kits. May I suggest having it against a background color and have the vertical lines thinner so the main image stands out.

Cheers,

Tat
