Jim gives us a preview of this new kit from Tamiya, the Elfant in 1/48 scale. Also included in this video, but not part of the boxed kit is the Zimmerit decal set offered by Tamiya (Detail-Up Parts Series #12671).

There is a Tankworkshop conversion to turn the kit to the earlier Ferdinand and Monreo Perdu is working on a zimmerit set for this kit . Sorry Jim but the Tamiya zimmerit is not good it does not have the depth and sharpness to make zimmerit look right. Try under a coat of paint you'll see what i mean. Plus ALL Elephants Must have zimmerit .Get a hold of some Monreo Zim and compare it to the Tamiya stuff it really is not a contest ,Monreo wins hands down .Have a look on track 48 we have been over this kit fairly well . Hope these comments are useful

Just looking at the pics, that "zimmerit" is laughable!
