About the pace of our mechanic's apprentice....

Yessir! Slackers!

Well, the mechanics got the front wheels mounted AND mounted the body shell to the unibody (after threatening them with the Russian Front). I think they were scared enough that they even found a Vulcan Ordnance QF 2 Pounder ATG (that is almost done) to "attach" to the Bug.

Anyhow, the real deal - needs it's taillights added and wiper blades still.

Poland has come through for me again. The new balloons arrived and already have their initial paint.

I had to remove the kit's axle gears because PA's came with that molded on. Minor surgery. I'll get the tires painted up then they can be installed.

Some progress on the Kübel. Definitely an example of Tamiya's legendary fit, but it has a few bits missing or oversimplified in places. Main construction is done, so the next step is to add and improve some minor stuff.

I'll be building (#02327) Trumpeter's Soviet UAZ-469 All-Terrain Vehicle in 1/35 scale.

Jeeps_00

The kit comes with a one-piece body tub and fenders. There's a separate frame. It has a molded one-piece soft top. The wheels are vinyl with separate rims. There's a small PE fret containing some mudflaps, grills, dash (maybe), and an assortment of fiddly bits.

Clear parts for windows and light lenses. The windshield is one-piece with the frame molded on. There's an engine and transmission. Suspension and pretty good looking interior. Markings are minimal with a typical overall-green with a red star. In addition there are two camo painted vehicles.

Been a while since I was active on the boards and since I did much intensive modeling, so I figured this would be a nice campaign to start me off.

I cannibalized some regular wheels from another kit to build it into a regular Kübel, as I have a bit of a twist planned for this one.

I'm waiting for a set of Panzer Art wheels/tires to arrive from overseas. In the mean time, I repainted the 1st aid kit and am now adding the windows. Still need an antenna and the wipers to be added.

You should be able to edit and even delete posts. That'll help with the posts with busted images and help as many of us get familiarized with new image hosts.

I still plan on building Trumpy's 1/35 UAZ-469. I should be starting on it shortly.

Well, heck! No problem to change that as the "shell" isn't attached. I appreciate the input!

Mike

You are welcome Mike. Glad it was an easy fix for you.... not that you really had to do it.

Thanks Mike for the help. I did edit the first post but it didn't work so I figured I would at least get my start photo posted, even if its just a thumbnail. The next couple of tries also failed. I did open my thumbnail into full view but when I right clicked on it I didn't get the option to view properties. I haven't had this problem in the past but I'm no longer using IE11 and with all the PB problems I'm not sure where the problem is coming from. I loaded the original photo into my kitmaker album. I want to address this before I attempt to post in progress photos. I'll keeping working on it, but thanks again for your help.

I must be doing something wrong. I can't get it to show me the properties on right click when I open the photo in my gallery so that I can copy the full size photo into the forum. Any suggestions?

John, In your Gallery, make sure you click on the thumbnail to enlarge the view, select that one and not the tiny one.

Try pasting this image address in.
