Hi Angel!

Awesome job on your KV - with the mud, streaking and missing fenders, it really looks the part of the old, battered war-horse. Your photography is effective here, too - the low-angle shots are especially dramatic. I would have a hard time giving this one up, for sure, but if it‘s going to your brother-in-law, at least you can visit it a lot.

But if some day I decide to scratchbuild the Soviet 57 mm. AA Gun S-60 (he served on one of these guns as a loader), I'll definitely keep it for my collection.

That would be very cool.

Your HIMARS is looking really good, Jerry!

Thank you!

Gentlemen,

I have just finished the building process, now start painting. It was very long story but I enjoyed it a much. It was also a god practice before the Meng T-90A kit.

I think the painting will start in September only.

Hi Tamas,

That‘s an excellent, clean build - the photoetch work is masterful.

Looking forward to seeing it painted!

Me too. I have never build modern tank so for me it looks complicated enough without trying to paint or wether it. Hats off Tamas.

Tamas: super nice PE work.

I've decided to join in the fun with the only Trumpeter kit I have ready to build.

Trumpeter Soviet Aerosan RF-8/GAZ-98 in 1/35th scale.

Aloha All,

I've encountered a fit problem with my Aerosan.

Here is the fit at the bottom of the front without the top piece. Pretty good fit.

This is what happens to the sides at the bottom when I put the top piece on.

The top fits really good with the sides splayed out.

I've posted the fit question in the Constructive Feedback Forum but included the pictures here since I'm building this for the campaign.

Happy Modeling,
Zon

Hi all.
I'm afraid I will not be able to finish this campaign, due to serious health problems. Hospitalization and some upcoming surgery the coming weeks, will hold me away from the workbench for the coming months.
Keep up the good work everybody.

Kind regards,

Robert Jan

Hi mates,
great builds so far, congrats to all of you
After a longer than planned break from my project I'm nearing the finish line

Had a few self-induced issues, but in the end I think I will be content with my model. It seems to me, I'm the only one who is building an aircraft, he?
Anyway here are two pictures:

Painted and waiting for the decals
It's still big, even in 1/144 scale...

Zon, sorry about your fit problems, I hope you can get that sorted without too much aggravation.

Mr. K, looking forward to your HEMTT.

Peter, great-looking Tu-160.

Robert Jan, best of luck with your surgery + a speedy recovery.

Hi Peter, it is a unique build beside the tracked-wheeled vehicle kits in this campaign. The bird looks really big. Very BIG!

Majid, good choise. Did you consider to use the Eduard photo etch set for the kit? I have it in my stash withe Eduard stuff and I am looking for your build as reference.

Hi Majid,

I am sure you have a time-wise plan alreday, but let me explain my method. When Ihave similar late arrival issue (but still within deadline), I usually printout the PE assy docs and check what NOT to use from the plastic stuff (due to the PE).
Then any other is glued and assembled and wait for the extras to arrive.
So I can do some fun before the PE process starts.

It is very dangerous if you are not patient enough
Surely the Eduard stuff will add extreme details and a beautiful look to the final kit

Hi mates,
after decaling went reasonably well, I call my Blackjack nearly done. Last checks before some satin varnish and maybe a little dirt here and there...
Trumpeter got the starboard blue-and-yellow banner wrong, they forgot to print it mirror-wise
So I got stuck with two identical decals and had to cut the wrong one partly to fix it as good as possible. So the left side view will be the better one.
I'll try to get some good pictures for the gallery soon.

Gents,

I have painted the model with a mixed green colour (I do not remember the ratio). Next step is to apply a seling coat than assemble the running gear and weathering. I can see the end-of-project now

Tamás, your T-72 looks good in green! Can‘t wait to see the following steps!

Peter, very nice.

Majid, I‘m looking forward to your SA-2/ZiL-157 combination - do you know what markings you‘re going to use?
