Thanks Richard!

While preparing the BLG-60M-2 for a modelling contest participation(WIP section), I added some more tiny details, like:
Mudguards, spare tracks and second tow rope:

Hydraulic lines to the rotating cylinder and in the laying arm:

Manta Modelling Expo 2019 took place over last weekend in Veliko Tarnovo/Bulgaria with plenty of models in various categories and scales put on display.

Here is my BLG-60M-2 on the WIP Section table:

I also ran my other "Once More Unto the Breach" Campaign project-Henschel 33D1 with Pontonwagen(Pf.11)- in the contest:

It won the "Best Model in WWII-Allied Category" Award:

A fact, that makes me extremely happy and proud

Fantastic work Angel. A labour of love, but it is just sensational.

Congrats on the gong too. Of course your entry was best in WW2, never any doubt on that.

Congrats Angel. For sure one of the best I've seen this modeling year!

Kind regards,

Peter, Robert- thanks for your kind words, mates!

To be honest- my participation in this contest was "awarded" even before modelling judges arrived on the scene.
For- as planned- I went to Svishtov's Museum of Engineers Equipment and touched, smelled and crawled over & under the real Pontonwagen(Pf.11), preserved there

And took plenty of photos of some other quite interresting objects

Some progress on my project.
The scissor bridge consists of 4 almost identical-at least in basic dimensions-quarters.
With 284 mm length per bridge quarter, these are by far the biggest structures I've ever built sofar.

2 down, 2 more to go:

True styrene eaters...

They hide too much of the rest of the work Angel! They have to be shown deployed so we can enjoy it all....

Yeah, I've got to agree with Pete on this one. All that awesome detail is hidden unless you go poking around underneath.

I see your point, Peter!

But try to see my point too-
With total length (vehicle plus deployed bridge) of almost 1 m., I risk a big size scandal with my better half...

I only deploy the bridge, when she is having her beauty nap...and this evening I'm still waiting for it... and waiting... and waiting

Thanks Richard!

Once all bridge quarters are done, I'll find a way around to show everything.

Probably something like:

Buy a big box and put a present in it for her. When she has opened the box and taken the present, just tell her you will keep the box safe and fill it next year...…..

I'm sure that will work, mate

Not much time (and mojo) for styrene cutting last week, yet I managed to finish the rough construction of the other 2 bridge quarters:

Next week I'll start detailing the bridge, while simultaneously preparing some models for the comming Sofia Scale Model Show(Oct.12-Oct.13)

You get more done with little mojo, than most people do all excited and rearing to go

Thanks, Peter and Richard!

A short update on detailing the bridge quarters:
There are 2 types of pulley systems the quarters have on their inner rear portion.
I call them "Inner Pulley" and "Outer Pulley".

I assigned location refferences for each bridge quarter.
When looked from the back of the vehicle, with bridge in transport mode, the quarters are Left Top, Left Bottom, Right Top and Right Bottom(LT,LB,RT and RB).

LT and RB quarters have the Outer Pulley system, while LB and RT have the Inner Pulley system...

Here are LT and RB quarters undergoing detailing:

Once detailing is done, I'll build the Outer Pulleys and mount them on their respective locations.

Hello everyone!
I finally managed to get involved in the campaign. In my reserve, I found a model of Sd.Kfz.251 / 7 Ausf.C that I will be campaigning for.
Here is the opening photo:

Ok. I have the same kit as Kalin and it's on my list for a long long time. I enlisted this morning and with 2 months to go I think this will do.
Way back in 2012 I did the Royal Models conversion, also with an AFV Club kit. It can be beaten up like crazy if you want.
Looking forward to this one, which I'm about to start now.
Hey hey, It's a Sunday after all.
Starting pics
