I can move the start date to August 1st if there’s enough interest.

What say you all?

I would appreciate an earlier start. I'm going to wrap up three kits in the next week or so making space on the bench.

I'm happy with it moving to an earlier slot as long as the end date stays the same. In all honesty I won't be starting till probably Nov as I need to get some other bits finished off.

I'm now looking at doing something in the UN and wheeled. Does anyone know if LAV's or Strykers have been deployed in UN white ?

I *really* need to wrap up some projects in the next week. I've been dying to start on my phantom project - the kits are just staring at me. The kit I want to do for this, I really want to do, and I need to get started on my lend lease build.

So, I need to finish up my stug and my kv-85 and make some hay on my BoB build.

It *is* a good time to be modeling!

I hear ya! I'm waiting on some Tamiya XF-86 to come in from Andy's Hobby HQ so I can dull coat the Chaparral for the Shep Paine campaign. I'm silly putty masking for the camo on my ATF Dingo 2 for the Bundeswehr campaign and I'm currently working on the 2S1 Gvozdika for I Like Big GUNS...

And right before leaving work I bought the AFV Club Stryker Dragoon!

The timing is just about perfect for starting this kit. SU-85 is one of my favorites if not my favorite AFV. I kind of regret not getting the interior version, but something for a future build.

Even without the interior, that's a lot of plastic. I thought I had raided the kit for the crew already but I guess I'm misremembering that.

Here's my start pic! The AFV club 1/35 scimitar, Im planning on painting it in a Belgian UN color scheme. If I finish this fast I may enter with the AML-90, but for now i want a "simple" build.

I just took a peek into my Leopard box..........
I am not really sure if I am up to this right now. The sprues are not dated, but the hull underside says 1969!
I like old kits. And I like Tamiya. But this one's bad. I could not find a single report on review on it either.

It is this one (image snatched from the net, since I have a real hard time uploading photos due to connection issues).

You have the updated version Ron, with some new parts added, and yes it is mainly based on the vintage kit from 1969, but so is Tamiya's Leopard 1 A4 by the way.

Looking very nice Ezra. Hope you fix the track issue (saw your other post). I'd offer mine as I have AM ones, but Australia is not sending out airmail, so it would be months before you got them from me via surface mail....

Looking at the 2 kits there is no comparing. At all.
But I will give it a go anyway. Even if it is not the correct version for Norwegian Leopards.

I may join this. My current build (M3A1) started before the 1sy August date but will be snow white, my next build (M4 HST) may be also snow white so, if it is, will submit and entry... otherwise I will watch this for tips/tricks for white wash schemes

Nice, even paint job, Ezra! White is horribly unforgiving. The slightest blemish jumps out and taunts you! 🤯

Thanks Gulf! I know what you mean about white...I needed to partly strip the paint at least 3 times!
