I live in the mountains north of Santa Cruz California. I have been building now since the early 1990's when I rediscovered modeling. Most of my kits are built with dioramas in mind. I took a "creative block" hiatis for a couple years - 2011 to 2013. I wasn't active in the modeling world. During tha...

Very nice build but I think the flag looks a little bit to thick. The rest is great.

Nice looking Kubel, I too want to see it in the diorama!

Ditto! If the jubelwagen is this good the diorama is sure to be excellent! James

Very nice work, amigo. I like the windshield and the wiper effect. Nice touch. Just the right amount of weathering and this screams for a dio and a figure or two. Ironmike

I agree and a few folds and tie downs to give the effect of cloth would make it pop. Otherwise, a nice looking build, indeed.

I am pretty sure this is from the VLP Kubelwagen stowage set, and if so, the flag is resin.

Hi all, Thanks for the kind comments. I should set the record straight however, this Kubel was built a couple years ago and is in the "Panzer Destruction Course" diorama. I will send Vinnie some photos of the entire diorama. In answer to a few of the questions: Jesper (SGTJKJ), This is the Tamiya Kubelwagen, a lovely little kit. Jan Persson (Tordenskiold), You are correct, the flag/tyre combination is the resin offering from Verlinden. It is a bit thick isn't it? Al (AJLaFleche), Tie-downs probably would have been a good idea prior to the photos. I'll have to pull the dio out of storage to see if I ever did put the tie downs on. Again, thanks to all for the comments and I'll try to send more photos in the near future. Cheers, Charles
