M2A2 Bradley w/ ERA, Iraq 2007

INFO ABOUT THE MODEL
With this model I tried to depict one of the U.S. Army's latest Bradley’s. As the danger of RPG's became bigger and bigger in Iraq, many Bradley's were fitted with an ERA kit. ERA is the abbreviation for; Explosive Reactive Armor. This type of add-on armour consists of many explosive blocks. The basic idea of this is when a RPG hits this armour, one of the explosives immediately detonates and that way destroys the RPG or reduces the force of impact.

KITS USED
  • Tamiya M2A2 Bradley
  • Verlinden Reactive Armor for Bradley
  • Fruil Model Big Foot Tracks
  • Armorscale Metal Barrel
  • 2 JB Model 2m Aerials
