Js-II Stalin

Byeol Han shares with us another of his builds, this time around it is the Tamiya Js-II Stalin kit. Byeol built this offering straight from the box and it is of course the 1/35th scale offering. Byeol particularly enjoyed building this kit as he enjoyed the excellent fit of the parts and feels it accurately depicts the Js-II Stalin.

The paint & weathering on the tank look great! But the crates on the engine deck don't look realistic to me, unless the tank was parked and the crew was reloading its' ammo stores.

obg153. Thank you for your feedback. I understand what you mean. That was my original plan !. Haha. But I put off that plan because of insufficient information and reference. Then I applied the 122mm gun ammo boxes as simple accessories to fill the Js-2 engine deck. But I will try again that plan to build my JSU-152 heavy assault gun with 152mm ammos, crates and Miniart reloading figure sooner or later. Thank you again.

Superb weathering, love the paint streaks and irregularities on the white stripe that probably indicate a rush job in the field somewhere.
