Magach 6A IDF Yom Kippur War

  • move
Nikos used the AFV Club kit depicting a Magach 6A during the Yom Kippur War, adding AFV Club's T97 track to replace the rubber band tracks supplied with the kit. He added the searchlight mount at the back of the turret, the stowage and the .30 cal machine gun on the commander's cupola.

About Nikos Brestas (GTDeath13)
FROM: ATTICA, GREECE / Ελλάδα

Mostly interested in modern armor and especially IDF vehicles. M48s and M60s are my main modelling interest, especially Magach versions. Some builds are superdetailed and some are just for the fun of finishing something. I also build ship models.

Beautifully done! My only addition would be some serious dust all over it and a sweaty tanker sticking his head out of a hatch. Just me. Looking forward to seeing more of your work!

Thank you. I kept dusting to a minimal at the lower hull, since I tend to get carried away and overdo it most of the times. And figures are also something I need to improve, since my first attempts proved quite horrible.

Great job Nikos! I was wondering what paint you used on this and your other IDF build?
FEB 06, 2018 - 04:21 PM
Thank you. The Magach 6A was painted with vallejo 73.614 IDF Israeli Sand Grey 61-73 and the Magach 6 with Model Master 2138 Israeli Sand/Grey. IMHO the modelmaster paint's sade is a little closer to the real one.
